Class of Travel

Baggage Allowance

Air Algérie permits one free cabin bag up to 10 kg, or 5 kg on ATR aircraft, with dimensions not exceeding 35×55×25 cm (ATR: 30×40×20 cm). Items such as laptops, handbags, and cameras must be inside the cabin bag. Oversized or overweight luggage is checked, and passengers are responsible for their personal effects.

Checked baggage allowance varies based on itinerary, class of service, and loyalty status. Typically, tickets specify one or two hold baggage, each up to 23 kg and a total size of 158 cm.

Air Algérie Plus

Air Algérie Plus enables members to earn miles on every flight, redeemable for tickets, upgrades, and excess baggage. Members accumulate miles according to flight distance, class, and tier level, with opportunities to earn bonus miles through higher travel classes and family enrollment.

New members receive a Djurdjura card.

Higher tiers like Chelia and Tahat offer enhanced benefits based on accumulated miles or flight segments.

The Family Program includes Fly.in. cards for members aged two to seventeen, allowing additional mile earnings.

In-flight Services

Air Algérie offers extensive inflight entertainment on long-haul flights through a video-on-demand system. Passengers can access a diverse range of programs, including the latest and classic Hollywood films, French, Arabic, and Asian movies, TV series, documentaries, sports, children’s shows, and various video games. A selection of content is updated quarterly and available in multiple languages.

In addition to video entertainment, Air Algérie provides an Audio on demand system featuring Arabic, Algerian, French, international hits, jazz, and easy listening, along with a channel for listening to verses of the Holy Quran. A demonstration video guides passengers on using the graphical interface. Program availability may vary during flights, and quarterly entertainment programs may not be available on the first day of the month.

Check-in

Air Algérie offers online check-in from 24 hours up to 3 hours before departure, allowing passengers to select seats and print their check-in receipts. This service enables travelers to obtain their boarding passes quickly upon arrival at the airport, enhancing convenience and saving valuable time.

At the airport, check-in desks open 4 hours before departure for Algiers airport and 3 hours for other airports. Passengers must complete check-in at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time for Algiers airport and 45 minutes before domestic flights.

For connecting flights, re-check-in is necessary. Boarding gates close 30 minutes prior, and no passengers are accepted after the check-in deadline.

Onboard Support

Air Algérie accommodates unaccompanied minors aged five to fifteen, requiring a full-fare ticket, valid identification, parental authorization, and necessary vaccination certificates. Staff oversee these children from departure to arrival, ensuring their safety through all travel stages.

For children under four, a stewardess provides continuous care during the flight.

Passengers with limited mobility receive specialized assistance, including wheelchairs and stretcher services, based on their needs.

Visually and hearing-impaired travelers are supported by Air Algérie staff, with provisions for assistance dogs traveling in the cabin without extra fees.

All passengers must provide appropriate medical documentation to qualify for these services, ensuring a comfortable and accessible journey.
